We cannot depend upon any "omnipotent power" to save us from ourselves. We shall act with prudence for collective benefit, (and hope for stability in matters exempt from intellectual influence,) or we shall suffer--and perhaps perish--devoid of cosmic notice. No one on this earth has enough power or wealth to avoid the burden of 'cause & effect.'
